Holy crap it's cold!

So, we took a mini road trip with the car to give it a good shakedown and figure out what needs fixing. We drove to Chicago on Saturday morning and back home on Sunday evening. Let's just say that the climate in the car needs some work.

At speeds over 55 mph, the climate control doesn't seem to be able to provide warm air. Adding to this problem is the fact that the door seals (despite being completely intact) seem to have problems sealing out air.

To say that these are inconveneinces when driving through the Midwest during winter months would be a gross understatement. I honestly thought I was about to lose a few fingers during the drive back home. We made several detours to frontage roads for a few moments to allow the cabin to fill with air so hot it became difficult to breathe before heading back down the freeway, only to have the car fill with freezing Wisconsin air again.

I have never heard of a climate control acting in this way. If you have, please tell me!
